Meet Our Team
Daniel Island Family Medicine is a family-owned practice dedicated to providing quality personalized healthcare to patients of all ages. We are proud to be an MDVIP-affiliated practice.
Dr. Edward Giove, D.O.
Dr. Giove hails from New Jersey and has degrees from Rutgers University and the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Osteopathic Medicine (now Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine). He is also certified in the BaleDoneen Method to prevent heart attack, stroke, and other conditions. This board-certified physician has practiced family medicine for more than 20 years so he can quickly zero in on what’s needed to get you healthy – and keep you that way.
As a Daniel Island resident since 2001, it was a dream come true for Dr. Giove to open his own medical practice on the island in 2020. He was also excited to have his wife, Amy, working by his side to make the dream a reality.
Dr. Giove and Amy have four teenagers, who keep life fun and always interesting. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing (poorly), watching Philadelphia sports teams, traveling with his family, and boating.
Amy Giove,
Director of Business Development
Amy was born in New Jersey and also lived in Texas, Indiana, and Tennessee before coming to South Carolina to earn her BA degree from Furman University and MBA from The Citadel.
After 20 years focused on technology sector market research, customer experience management, and business strategy, Amy was excited to shift gears to medical practice management. She was responsible for day-to-day operations of Daniel Island Family Medicine from 2020-2022, but now focuses primarily on accounting, marketing, and claims billing.
Lilli Spivey,
Office Manager
Lilli hails from Tennessee and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She enjoys travel and adventure, leading her to spend a summer in Paris! She also has a three year old dog that she claims is more spoiled than she cares to admit. Lilli keeps the office running smoothly, handling the front office, prior authorizations, pre-approvals, and pretty much anything else that come up! She loves working with our patients and in the future plans to obtain her MBA with a concentration in healthcare administration.
